Located in Paris, France, WHOLE has adapted ancient craft techniques to a modern semi-industrial process of making home goods. All their parts are dyed at the WHOLE workshop by experienced craftspeople with expertise in natural dyes from plants, whether fresh, dried, or extracted. Their dyes are handmade in the workshop every day, with water and some vegetable and mineral additives in small quantities (alum, citric acid, tannin, iron). Their colors have been tested by IFTH, the French laboratory for textiles, and offer excellent resistance to water and light.
All fibers used in the workshop are organic, and all scrap fabrics as put to use in new pieces. WHOLE also works with partners who are equally committed to quality, value the gesture of the craftsman, and who work together to realize their vision within a small radius of the workshop in Paris.
