A set of 10 vintage postcards from the 1950's and 60's. The postcards are lightly affixed to a large sheet of paper and have handwritten messages and postage on the back. The postcards are nengajōs or New Year's cards, and feature the year, landscape motifs, and/or the traditional New Year's greetings. The postcards appear to be woodblock prints and feature a colorful combination of graphic shapes and Japanese characters.
This item was found in Japan by Moth owner Catherine Becker in 2019.
The postcards are 3.5 x 5.5 inches. The large sheet of paper is 21.5 x 15 inches.
