Unique and numbered piece designed and produced by Ariane Prin in her workshop in London. Creating new form and utility from often overlooked waste material, each piece showcases a unique color and texture that changes gradually over time. It contains metal particles collected from metal workshops across London, such as shavings from keys, mixed with a base of gypsum and acrylic. The oxidization of the metals gives each piece its unique colors.
Because the pots are not coated or varnished, their texture may change slowly over time; they are, however, strong and durable.Questions? Email us
French-born, London-based industrial designer Ariane Prin's studio is home to a fascinating range of projects. As a maker, Prin seeks to create site-specific connections between human activities and the material that she works with, often inspired by the desire to create new form and utility out of commonly disregarded waste. Prin has collaborated with a delightful variety of professionals, including Japanese artisans, bakers, hairdressers, acrobats, biologists, and engineers in environmental technology.
