The Tarun pants are one of Tamaki Niime’s signature silhouettes, inspired by a sarouel-style shape with a rounded, relaxed form. The name “tarun” reflects the softly draped, slightly ballooned silhouette that sits comfortably on the body.
Made in Japan using Tamaki Niime’s original Banshu-ori textiles, the fabric is often woven on vintage looms and dyed before weaving, giving each pair subtle variations in color and pattern. Each piece is typically one-of-a-kind, with textiles sometimes combined vertically, horizontally, or diagonally for a distinctive look.
The pants feature a deep rise, elastic waistband, two pockets, and relaxed fit that can resemble a skirt when worn. They are designed for comfort and versatility, suitable for all genders, and easy to style year-round with sandals, sneakers, tights, or boots.
