Candle Maker TAKAZAWA Candle creates traditional Japanese candles (Warosoku) derived from plant-based raw materials. Established in 1892 , the company is one of the oldest candle makers in Japan and the candles are made using the techniques and materials that have not changed since 16th century. The wick is made by wrapping a dried reed around a washi paper cylinder, giving the candle a tall, intense flame and brighter light compared to modern paraffin candles. Using plant-based materials also generates less soot and very little smoke.
80 min burn time.
This set includes 6 small candles individually wrapped in washi paper. Pictured with the Small Koma Candle stand. Measures 2 3/4 inches tall and 3/4 inches at widest point.
