This one-of-a-kind vintage jacket was found in Japan by Moth owner Catherine Becker. Samue are traditional garments worn by monks or as a work uniform, featuring wide sleeves with gathered cuffs; boro refers to a class of Japanese textiles that have been patched together.
Please note that this jacket has small holes from wear but is otherwise in good used condition, and comes with a piece of indigo dyed vintage fabric for patching. It is one size, suitable for extra small to small, but can also be preserved as a special wall decoration.
