A beautiful small boro fragment from Japan, hand-stitched from layers of old indigo-dyed and kasuri-patterned cloth. The surface is covered with rows of sashiko running stitches, giving it both strength and a wonderfully tactile texture.
Soft fading, worn areas, and subtle color shifts reveal decades of daily use—hallmarks of true boro textiles that were mended and preserved with care.
Dating from the early to mid 20th century.
Please note: Three fragments are available. Each piece varies slightly in color, wear, and stitching, so the one you receive may differ from the example shown. All are of similar age, quality, and character.
