A set of 10 vintage postcards from the year 1966 (or Showa '41). The postcards are lightly affixed to a large sheet of paper and have handwritten messages and postage on the back. The postcards are nengajōs or New Year's cards and feature that particular year's zodiac sign, the horse, as well as other nature motifs. The postcards are either hand drawn or printed and feature a colorful combination of graphic shapes and Japanese characters.
This item was found in Japan by Moth owner Catherine Becker in 2019.
The postcards are 3.5 x 5.5 inches. The large sheet of paper is 21.5 x 15 inches.
