IN-STORE RETURN POLICY

We hope that you will always be completely satisfied with your order, but in the event that you are not, we will gladly issue a store credit or exchange for clothing purchased within 7 business days.

Store credit is valid for up to six months. We do not offer refunds (no exceptions).

Housewares, hats, socks, jewelry and discounted clothing sales are FINAL and non-refundable/exchangeable. 

In the event of damaged or defective merchandise items can be replaced within 7 business days after purchase. Items will be replaced with other in-stock items. Materials such as wood, concrete or ceramic may have inconsistencies in grain or pattern and is not the basis of a legitimate return.

For all exchanges, the item must be returned in new, unused condition in its original package and with tags attached, along with a copy of your receipt. Items returned outside the 7 day window will not be accepted.

 

ONLINE RETURN POLICY WITHIN THE USA

For orders within the USA, clothing is eligible for store credit. NO REFUNDS.  Store credit is valid for up to six months.

Before shipping back your return, send us an email at info@mothchicago.com and let us know which item you are returning. Items must be returned within 5 business days of being received. 

Shipping costs are non-refundable and return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend packages be returned via a traceable carrier and insured to the full amount of the merchandise. We are not responsible for missing packages. We have the right to deny credit if the returned merchandise does not meet our return policy requirements.

 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Once we receive information about the items you would like to order we will send you a shipping estimate. In general, we ship international orders via USPS.

International orders are final and cannot be returned. Customers are responsible for all taxes and duties on their purchases.

SHIPPING POLICY

GENERAL

All orders are processed and shipped pending both item availability and credit card verification. Orders are shipped Wednesday through Friday (excluding holidays) and are fulfilled within 3 business days of purchase.

 

 U.S. SHIPPING

Moth utilizes FedEx for all U.S. shipping. FedEx offers ground service, through which customers receive their orders within 3-5 business days (Monday-Friday) from the date of dispatch. Should you need your item quicker, please email us at info@mothchicago.com after placing your order, and we will do our best to send your shipment via 2nd day or next day shipping, although additional charges will apply.

Standard Ground service is not available to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico. We cannot accept military APO/FPO addresses and PO boxes for delivery.

Please confirm billing and shipping address when placing an order as we are unable to reroute packages.

 

 SHIPPING COSTS

Our standard shipping fees are $10.00 for orders under $30.00 and $15.00 for orders over $30.00. For packages exceeding a weight of 10 lbs. or large items requiring special handling, we will contact the customer to provide a shipping quote. If you choose to ship your order to multiple locations, there will be separate charges for each destination. 

Orders over $350 are eligible for free shipping. Exceptions apply. Please note that certain products are not eligible for free shipping due to their size or weight. This information is noted on the pages of those products. 

 

TRACKING

You will receive an email confirmation after an order has been placed. Upon the shipment of your order, you will receive an email containing the tracking information for your package.

SALES TAX

Prices listed on our website are shown exclusive of applicable taxes. Sales tax will only be applied to orders shipped within the state of Illinois. MY ORDER IS A GIFT. DO YOU OFFER WRAPPING SERVICES OR CARDS?

We can wrap the item in Japanese newspaper and twine, and we are happy to include a message to the recipient and a gift card receipt at your request. Please just send us a note at checkout. This service is not available for discounted items.

 

CAN YOU PROVIDE MORE SIZING INFORMATION?

Given that we stock items from many international designers, clothing fits vary. Please feel free to contact us for specific measurements and information on any item. We make every effort to note when items do not run true to size, but sizing may vary considerably between labels and even the same line.

Our brick-and-mortar store is located in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago, which is northwest of the Loop. We are accessible by car, taxi and public transportation. By the L train, get off at the Damen blue line CTA station and either walk north on Damen Ave. for 10-15 minutes or hop onto the #50 northbound Damen bus. Moth is just north of Armitage Ave. stop. By car, exit I-90/94 at Armitage Ave. and head west until Damen Ave. Moth will be on your left-hand side on Damen Ave.
