After graduating from fashion school, Yoshimi (Yumi) Kudo began working in clothing production before turning her focus to creating cloth accessories for daily life. Since 2004, she has been making pieces that combine patchwork and natural dyes, reflecting a quiet sensitivity to material and handcraft.
During her family’s time in Korea, Kudo frequently visited the country and studied bojagi, the traditional Korean art of cloth wrapping. Her work continues to explore the beauty of small fragments—making everyday textiles from patchwork and naturally dyed fabrics, each piece carrying the warmth of the maker’s hand.
Moth is proud to be Yumi Kudo's first stockist in the US.
