Finnish textile designer Johanna Gullichsen was born in Finland and studied art history, literature, and languages at the University of Helsinki before turning to textile design at the Porvoo Crafts School. Now at the head of her successful company, Gullichsen draws inspiration from various hand-weaving techniques and patterns which can be combined either with modern or traditional interiors. Bold and simple patterns, natural materials, and a down to earth sensibility define the brand, as does a sense of comfort, color, and ease of use.
