Flemish for "flax flower," Vlas Blomme is known for their use of high-grade Belgian linen to create textural clothes with a worn-in, relaxed silhouette. Founded by designer Yoriko Sakurama, each collection is inspired by a passion for antiques and gardening and showcases the changing face of nature through classic design. Vlas Blomme uses linen with different textural qualities, blended with materials such as cashmere, silk, alpaca, or cotton, making the collection wearable in various seasons.
Vlas Blomme's sister brand, Cerasus ("cherry blossom" in Latin), produces delicate, nature-inspired jewelry out of brass and textiles. The brand cultivates a handmade look by sourcing raw textures and materials and colors reminiscent of antiques. The jewelry pieces will change over time as the brass oxidizes and the textile pieces soften with wear.
