This pullover shirt is crafted from Takashima Chijimi" fabric, which is produced in Takashima, Shiga Prefecture, and is made using a unique method that involves strongly twisting the weft threads of natural fibers and applying a unique process to fix the texture. This fabric is based on traditional Takashima Chijimi but uses hemp threads for the warp and organic cotton threads for the weft, achieving higher strength and comfort. The texture and stretchiness created by the twisting of the threads, rather than the stretch caused by synthetic fibers, will not be lost even after long-term wear. It doesn't adhere to the skin, ensuring its coolness and longevity.
The V-shaped Henley neck and the deliberate one-button design create a simple look. The design tucks the shoulders in, ensuring mobility around them. Another characteristic of the loose silhouette is that it is easy to put on and take off. The buttons are hand-sewn using camel bone buttons made in India.
The natural dye is made by mixing walnut shells with iron mordant.
