Mizushima was founded in Kichijoji, Tokyo, in 2006 by a designer with a love for polka dots and a shop owner who adores stripes. The brand draws its name from polka dots (mizutama) and stripes (shima shima), two patterns which are widely loved and never out of style. The designers at Mizushima find inspiration in Japanese craftsmanship, and they create simple, playful, and unique stationery from fine materials. Unlike mass produced stationary, the middle volume production is manufactured in house and some elements are made by hand. From paper bags to letter writing sets, post cards to stickers, each item by Mizushima is sure to add a special touch to your day.
