In 1993, Glerups' founder Nanny felted a pair of boots for the first time with wool from her own Gotland sheep. The footwear was so well-received among friends and family that she started a small hobby production. This paved the way for the Danish company Glerups.
Initially, Nanny could only felt two pairs of boots a day. Eventually, working with her husband Ove, they developed and improve the product and production technology.
Glerups uses natural raw materials: 100% new wool for the socks and soft calf skin or natural rubber for the soles. Beauty, nature, and warmth are the qualities that reflect the spirit of the brand.
