Keiko Murakami graduated from Musashino Art University with a degree in Industrial, Craft, and Design. After working as a textile designer, she founded the rust-dyed textile brand sabi-nuno in 2011. In 2015, she studied traditional Italian rust stencil dyeing and has since showcased her work in numerous exhibitions.
Just as a person slowly grows older, rust gradually develops a unique character of its own. sabi-nuno is a textile brand that embraces this natural transformation, using rust that seeps from metals like iron and copper in its signature “rust-dyeing” process.
Moth is excited to bring this talented designer to the US, sharing her distinctive rust-dyed textiles with a new audience.
