This shirt is woven entirely from 100% hemp threads in both the warp and weft. Hemp is a naturally strong fiber that softens gradually over time, evolving from its original crispness to a cotton-like feel with wear and washing. Its distinctive cool touch remains even in midsummer, offering breathable comfort on hot days.
Designed as a modern interpretation of ethnic wear through the lens of Western clothing construction, this shirt emphasizes both function and simplicity. The shirt adheres to the structural guidelines of traditional Western shirting, but it simplifies the decorative elements. The sleeve cap is tucked and the armhole raised for greater freedom of movement, while the back yoke features tucks (rather than gathers) to allow ease through the shoulders.
