Tomeishi, also known as sekimori ishi, or “boundary-guard stone," are traditionally made from medium-sized rocks, wrapped in a special rope or string. They are placed at the front of the path or garden to prevent people from walking beyond that point. They are also called stopping stones.
This beautiful oval piece of recycled glass, tied with hemp rope, draws inspiration from these traditional stones.
It will make a beautiful door stopper or paperweight.
