This delicate coffee cup from the sesame series, handcrafted in Kyoto by TOKINOHA Ceramic Studio, comes in a warm mustard matte glaze. While decorative on its own, the subtly speckled vessel is meant to be used in everyday situations.
Bengala, a type of iron, gives the rim a soft yet crisp feel.
The name "sesame" comes from the black spots that appear here and there on the surface of the pottery. This is a series that develops a unique character the more you use it, as it is unique to earthenware.
