Mini Bronze and Aluminum Vases
Details
The metal artist Sakiko Sugimura mainly creates small metal works using suction casting. By making a mold, pouring liquid metal into it, and casting in a vacuum with a suction casting machine, it is possible to express fine details. These vases are created from bronze and aluminum using this technique.
Embroidery is applied to the pattern part of the wax mold.
The wax is pierced with a needle to prevent it from rising.
Each vase has two sections. The upper dome lifts off so one can fill the vase with water.
