Morito Tatsuruhama

We are delighted to welcome new pieces by ceramic artist Morito Tatsuruhama. It is difficult to describe Morito Tatsuruhama’s works in a single word.  However, his work is especially appealing to those who love earthy, clay texture of ceramics.  

Born in Tokyo in 1973, Morito Tatsuruhama currently practices pottery in Chita District, Aichi Prefecture. He specializes in creating warm and inviting vessels, utilizing the inherent qualities of clay. His diverse range of works includes pieces adorned with black rust glaze, powdered glaze, and brushstroke patterns, each exhibiting its own unique personality. Moreover, each piece is meticulously fired and easy to handle, requiring no additional treatment.
