Vintage Japanese Kaya Cloth

Translation missing: en.products.general.regular_price $165.00
Details

A vintage Japanese kaya (mosquito net) textile woven from lightweight hemp  gauze. Originally used as a household mosquito net, the open weave has softened beautifully with age, creating a delicate, airy fabric that filters light with remarkable depth.

Dyed a rich forest green, this textile features subtle seam construction from its original panels, adding quiet geometric interest without distracting from its minimalist character. Its translucent quality makes it ideal as a wall hanging, window treatment, room divider, or decorative textile layered into an interior.

Natural wear, gentle fading, and a small hole are consistent with its age and history, enhancing its authentic wabi-sabi appeal.
