Iris Hanverk was founded as a small brush manufacturing company in Stockholm in 1870. The core of the business today is the brush binding manufacturing, which is completed by visually impaired craftspeople according to old Swedish tradition. Iris Hantverk has a history strongly connected to the visual impairments movement in Sweden. All brushes are of exclusive design and made mostly from natural materials such as oil treated oak, birch, and horsehair.
