This one-of-a-kind two-sided square tea mat is hand-dyed using natural materials like kakishibu (persimmon tannin) and indigo. Two abstract patches are sewn on with exposed stitching—one of which is a vintage fabric remnant that’s been over-dyed, adding depth and character.
Crafted in Ai Mai’s studio in western Tokyo, this piece brings subtle artistry and quiet warmth to your daily tea ritual or display setting.
