Details
The shirt features a button-front design, a pointed collar, and button cuffs. It has a rounded hem that is slightly longer in the back. The buttons are shell buttons.
Both the warp and weft threads are made from organic cotton slub yarn. This yarn, crafted by hand, produces striking variations in thickness, up to three times more pronounced than standard machine-spun slub yarn, resulting in a richly textured, unique finish.
The fabric is woven in Enshu using a specially modified rapier loom, designed to emulate the gentle pace of a traditional shuttle loom. This slow, careful weaving process protects the delicate slub yarn, allowing its natural character to shine through. The result is a soft, tactile fabric with the warmth and nuance of handwoven cloth.
