Triple-woven cotton, silk, wool, and linen jacket
This jacket is crafted from an innovative triple-layer fabric woven with cotton warp threads and three distinct weft materials: wool, cotton-linen, and silk. The layers are initially held together with water-soluble binding threads, allowing them to be sewn as one. Once construction is complete, the binding threads are dissolved in water, freeing the three layers to function independently.
Each material brings its own qualities: warm wool on the exterior, breathable cotton-linen in the middle, and smooth silk on the inside against the skin. The air pockets between the layers add natural insulation, making the piece lightweight yet warm.
The collar is left raw, and the garment is constructed with almost no seams except at the raglan sleeves, giving it a seamless, one-piece silhouette that adapts to many body types. All seams are merrow-finished, making the piece fully reversible.
This jacket is an open style with no buttons or ties, though the inner layer can be loosely secured with a string or left open and worn like a cape, offering versatile ways to style and layer.
