Vintage Japanese Uchiwa
Details
Vintage Japanese uchiwa paddle fan handcrafted from bamboo and paper. The colorful front features the names of celebrated sumo wrestlers arranged in bold calligraphy against vibrant green, black, and rust-colored panels, while the reverse is printed with the auspicious phrase Tenka Taihei (天下泰平), meaning "Peace Throughout the Land."
Minor wear, creases, and discoloration are consistent with age and use.
