Karin Carlander is a Danish textile artist and curator who lives and works north of Copenhagen. As a design student, Carlander spent time traveling in Japan, which planted the seed for what would become a lifelong love and respect for Japanese design and craftsmanship. In her work, Carlander reinterprets traditional Nordic crafts and the use of textiles for practical everyday purposes. The brand is based on three simple principles: sustainability, multifunctionality, and a mix-and-match color palette. All textiles in the collection are woven or crocheted of 100% European linen spun from flax naturally grown in France.
