The"Gretzky," is a ribbed knit raglan sleeve sweater made from recycled cotton and wool. The materials used are sourced sustainably, with recycled cotton collected from fallen wadding during the spinning of cotton yarn in Shimane Prefecture. The recycled wool comes from Senshu, a production center of blankets, carpets, and sweaters, and is made by collecting unwanted wool products and cutting scraps.
The yarn-dyeing process involves using 80% wool and 20% nylon from the "warp," which is the fiber returned to wadding form by using an unrolling machine and warping machine. The yarns are then spun in Senshu. The final product, "CoWoRe: 2/16Nm," is a mixture of sustainable materials that combines cotton and wool yarns through air spinning and mule spinning technologies from Izumo, Senshu, and Banshu.
