This oversized knit coat is crafted in Wakayama from Australian wool. The fabric is loosely knitted, then carefully felted to create a material that combines the stretch of knitting with the warmth of wool. Although the coat is substantial in thickness, it remains relatively lightweight and easy to wear.
The design takes advantage of the fabric’s natural qualities, with raw-edge finishing throughout. It features a flat, wide silhouette that layers comfortably over chunky sweaters or even kimonos, offering a relaxed and versatile look. With thoughtful layering, it can be worn well into the depths of winter. Large side pockets add functionality.
Care Instructions
Hand wash gently in lukewarm water (30°C) or use a delicate machine cycle. Avoid vigorous washing to prevent shrinkage or distortion. Use insect repellent and a dehumidifier when storing. After wear, lightly brush the surface to smooth the fibers and reduce pilling. If pilling occurs, do not pull—trim carefully with small scissors.
