Vintage Japanese Furoshiki

Translation missing: en.products.general.regular_price $85.00
Details

A cotton furoshiki dating to the early Showa period (c. 1930) dyed in rich indigo and accented with a geometric corner panel featuring maple leaf motifs. Hand-stitched repairs and appliqué patches reflect the Japanese tradition of mending and preserving cherished textiles.

Originally used for wrapping and carrying belongings, this generously sized cloth is both practical and decorative. The rich contrast of colors and its graphic design make it ideal as a wall hanging, a table covering, or as part of a textile collection
