Vintage Large Japanese Wood Ladle

Translation missing: en.products.general.regular_price $45.00
Details

A large hand-carved Japanese wooden ladle, approximately 11 inches long, made in the mid-20th century as a functional household tool. Shaped from a single piece of wood with visible chisel marks and a rustic, organic form. The burned-in maker’s mark adds character and authenticity. These spoons serve as a beautiful example of everyday mingei craft.

These ladles are beautiful examples of everyday mingei (folk craft) tools once used for serving rice, soup, or grains.

Four spoons are available. As they are handmade, the shape, grain, and markings vary slightly from spoon to spoon—part of their charm and individuality.
