This tea pot was created by artist Masashi Tsunokake. Masashi Tsunokake is based in Tokoname, Japan. He has been producing hand made goods since 1992. His wares are fired in one of the six ancient kilns (Bizen, Echizen, Seto, Shigaraki, Tamba) in Japan.
The black tea pot is called “Tetsuyu” which uses a high porosity clay and a volcanic ash finish with a rough surface.
It is perfect for steeping loose leaf teas with a built in strainer. It can hold 12 oz of liquid. We love to use it alongside Mills Studio textiles, see it here, and here.
