Hand-dyed linen shirt dress with natural dyes Sumi, Shibuki, and Catechu that create an overall speckled design. Features include a pointed collar, 2 side seam pockets, and a slight gathering at the waist. Can be worn on its own or open as a duster.
Oversized fit. Fabric will soften over time.
Catechu: A tannin dye obtained from the bark of acacia and mangrove trees, producing an austere brown color. Shibuki:
Sumi: A black dye obtained from bamboo charcoal or charcoal; it produces deep blacks and grays.
Shibuki: A yellow or yellow-green dye is extracted from dokudami, a well-known medicinal herb, which has antibacterial properties and gives fabrics a soft color.
